About the Warwick Democrats

The Warwick Democrats of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania are a group of individuals dedicated to promoting Democratic principles in Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, and Elizabeth Township.

A Democratic Vision for America,
Our Beloved Country
* We envision a Responsible America whose government and people actively work to sustain our inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
* We envision a United America whose citizens reach beyond themselves toward a common National Purpose of opportunity for all as they enhance their individual rights and freedoms. We envision a return to the true separation of powers; we accept sincere disagreement and reject polarization.
* We envision a Moral America that honors and respects family life and individual integrity and privacy that provides a safe environment for our children to grow and flourish, and the focuses on truth, decency and civility in its social and political life and in its international relations. We envision an America that celebrates its best cultural features of optimism, openness, tolerance and hope.
* We envision a Safe America that works for peace by diplomatic means, that maintains a highly trained and well equipped military, that reserves to Congress the responsibility to declare war, that works with our allies, and that declares war only as a last resort.
* We envision an Economically Strong America that fosters the common good for all our citizens, with particular focus on fairness for the Middle Class and a special option to help the poor and outcast live dignified, self-sufficient lives. We encourage Fair Trade and corporate policies that protect American jobs and provide true living wages. We expect American individuals and corporations to pay taxes according to the means. We accept nothing less than a secure and dignified retirement for all our citizens.
* We envision a Well Educated America that provides affordable education and inspires all students to achieve academic and vocational excellence. We commit ourselves to providing fully educated teachers, well supplied and maintained schools, smaller classrooms and affordable student loans.
* We envision a Healthy America that enjoys excellent and affordable Universal Health Care.
* We envision an Environmentally Clean and Safe America that is not dependent on oil and joins the family of nations to eliminate pollution and the threat of global warming.
* We envision a Tolerant America in which all citizens may practice their religion or have no religion. We oppose the imposition of any religious doctrine on our political/legal system, while we respect the role of religion to help make American society become more just, peaceful, reasonable, caring and compassionate.
